Seeing as both of its parents are on the heavier end of the spectrum, I decided to wait until the evening before reviewng the White OG strain. I soon came to realize that this was a pretty smart decision on my part.
As far as its aroma/taste is concerned, this batch of the White OG strain was a near-perfect mix between its parent strains. Theterpene profile was reminiscent of a piney OG Kush with musty undertones (presumably from the White Widow influence).
I began to feel my anxiety taper off after just a few minutes of medicating with this strain. I found this to be quite useful in the middle of the day, although I probably wouldn’t consider it to be the best choice for morning medicating – larger doses seemed to bring about a couchlock effect that made it a battle to get up from my seat at times.
Overall, I would say that the White OG strain is a great option for stress and pain relief later in the day. It may also be beneficial for patients who suffer from PTSD, OCD, lupus-related pain, depression, and more.
A lovely strain that derives from Shishkaberry X God bud.
It has a strong pungent aroma of sweetness with earthy undertones.
Beautiful round buds that are quite dense and covered in THC trichomes.
Ideal for patients with Chronic pain, Depression or Insomnia.
This bud steals its appearance from its Big Bud and Skunk parents, with oversized lumpy popcorn-shaped nugs that have a deep purple color to them and a super thick and frosty coating of trichomes and sticky sweet resin. Like the name suggests, Big Skunk Korean has a heavy powerful pungent skunky aroma with hints of hashy earth. The taste is a bit lighter,…
Look – Tight light green nuggets with a good covering of crystals and orange hair patches here and there
Smell – When I first opened the container the lemon aroma hit me immediately. It isn’t like a Train wreck lemon pledge/pinesol smell, it has a more distinct clean citrus lemon fragrance to it, with earthy kush undertones.
Taste – I’m used to kush that has an earthiness on the exhale. Lemon Kush marijuana is the complete opposite. It had a strong earthy taste on the inhale that seemed like it was going to expand a lot, but on the exhale it was a smooth clean citrus taste.
It will still make you cough, but not as bad as you think it will when you first inhale Effects – Lemon Kush weed definitely leans towards the Indica side, but it has a strong cerebral effect too. In social situations you will be relaxed yet also still alert and able to function. If you smoke it before bedtime, it will most surely help you get some Zzzzz’s. This is a very nice Indica leaning hybrid that gives you the best of both.
Purple Kush Feminized seeds where engineered in California in the late nineties as a crossing between Purple Afghan and Hindu Kush. Purple Kush is a 100% indica strain which results in a short and dense marijuana plant with compact but heavy buds. The beautiful purple leaves full of resin makes is a wonderful marijuana plant to grow. A good strain to grow outdoor in, especially in Mediterranean climates.
Purple Kush Feminized smell a bit dank, just like other Kush strains do. While smoking Purple Kush you will get into a state of total relaxation, great for people with sleep deprivation to get a good night rest.
Common sense told me that the Purple Crack strain was most likely the result of crossing the ever-popularGreen Crack strain with some variation of Granddaddy Purple. However, I quickly learned that the Purple Crack strain is actually a cross of Green Crack and the Juicy Fruit strain (aka Fruity Juice).
Knowing this, I was excited to see how these two classic Sativa-dominant hybrids would come together. The racy effects traditionally associated with the Green Crack strain are precisely what I look for when medicating in the morning. Combining these effects with the sweet flavor of the Juicy Fruit strain created some significantly high expectations in my mind.
As is often the case when smoking or vaporizing cannabis, the effects of the Purple Crack strain started to present themselves almost instantly.
I did experience a slight energy boost, but it was much more mellow than the fast-paced experience that I’ve come to expect when medicating with the Green Crack strain. The effects were far more consistent with my expectations of the Juicy Fruit strain, which is often more of a cerebral experience that helps spark my imagination.
Overall, I would say the Purple Crack strain is good option for patients looking to relieve stress and depressionduring the day. It may also be beneficial for patients who suffer from PTSD, OCD, neuropathic pain, social anxiety and more.
Asteroid OG strain on my recent trip to SFVDM in Van Nuys, CA. I had seen batches of this strain in the past, but I never ventured to give it a try, mostly because nobody was able to give me a definitive answer on the genetics.
The effects of medicating with this strain started to set in almost instantly – first taking over my mind, and then making the limbs throughout my body heavy.
I was completely relaxed after medicating with the Asteroid OG strain, but I had to deal with some serious couchlock. So, it may be best reserved for those late night evening sessions when you don’t have much else to do.
Asteroid OG strain particularly useful when I was in need of some stress and anxiety relief. I expect that it would also be useful for those suffering from depression, PTSD or OCD.
Candyland strain on my recent trip to SFVDM in Van Nuys, CA. After being on the prowl for a good batch of this strain for months, I couldn’t be more excited to see it on the shelf.
Ken Estes has a history of creating award winning hybrids, and the Candyland strain is his latest creation. It stems from two Grand Daddy Purp Collective classics – Bay Platinum Cookies and Ken’s Grand Daddy Purple (GDP).
As far as genetics are concerned, the Bay Platinum Cookies strain is a combination of the Bay 11 strain (an unknown Sativa) and a Platinum Cookies phenotype from the Bay Area. Combine this with the Ken’s GDP strain’s genetic lineage (Big Bud X Purple Urkle) and you have quite the cocktail.
Overall, I would expect the Candyland strain to be great option for stress and anxiety relief. It may also be beneficial for patients who suffer from PTSD, OCD, neuropathic pain, depression, and more.
Its budding notoriety in the UK caused Cheese clones to be passed around an extensive network of growers all throughout the 90’s. Cheese was a clone-only strain for some time, but many phenotypes of Cheese have surfaced since. It is believed by some that the original UK/Exodus phenotype is still floating around in the hands of the most senior of growers. It would be something special to get our hands on a bag of that medicine.
The taste is akin to the smell; it’s fruity with hints of berries, cheese, and undertones of skunk. Upon exhale, the flavors of skunk and cheese coat your mouth, and lingers between hits. This is when the cheese flavor is most noticeable. The smoke is potent, with a ‘stoned’ effect immediately settling in behind the eyes all the way down to our legs.
It’s 50% Indica and 50% Sativa lineage make the UK Cheese strain a perfect blend of body and mind. After two small bowls we experienced a severe case of ‘couch-lock’ accompanied by an uplifting, euphoric effect. We found it easy to focus and get work done after smoking UK Cheese. Nonetheless, you have no desire to move once you get settled in your chair.
UK Cheese is an ideal strain for patients seeking daytime pain, stress, and anxiety relief without the fear of crashing. It could also serve as an anti-depressant, as it puts you in high spirits after just one draw from the bong (no pun intended). UK Cheese remains one of our favorite Hybrid strains to medicate with during the day.
Cali Kush must have been a no-brainer when it came time to name this strain given the popularity of Kush varieties in The Golden State. Its buds are large and dense with few leaves and not many pistils. The flowers will be light green shot through with icy blue and packed with trichomes throughout. Cali Kush buds have a fruity citrus aroma with the darker coffee notes of a kush. Spicier tones and the coffee kushness are more apparent in the taste. The indica-dominant variation of this hybrid has been more popular, but a sativa-dominant version has also been spotted.

Additional Strain Info
The Sour Diesel is a good yielding, stretchy strain that produces light green, frosty, sour flowers that have a pinkish color when finishing. The Sour Diesel is best if you let it go the full 10 weeks and the taste lingers in your mouth well after the exhale. It is recommended to pinch and bend the tops as she grows because of the stretch, this will also improve yields. If height is an issue, you can still take advantage of this strains stretch in the first 3 weeks by putting your rooted clones directly into flower for a 3-4 foot finish or 1-1.3 meter finish. The Sour D. is great for the beginner or the experienced grower because she is not too nutrient sensitive and can be worked to perfection! A favorite among favorite and well documented you can now add Sour Diesel to your garden and see what all the fuss is about. 2nd Hash HT Cannabis Cup 2010
As the story goes, the NYC Diesel strain originates from a bagseed that Soma came across while living in New York. Many people will say that the seed was a phenotype of Sour Diesel, but it’s possible that it was actually the original Diesel strain or another strain with a similar terpene profile.
With that being said, Soma is rumored to have crossed this bagseed with Shantibaba‘s popular Afghani X Hawaiian male plant.
The NYC Diesel strain has been the go-to morning strain for me the past few days. This batch smells just like the Sour Diesel strain, but with more of a sugary sweetness to it. The vapor is smooth, and leaves a pungent gassy after-taste that is similar to that of cookies.
I found the NYC Diesel strain to produce an energetic high that would be great for exploring a city or getting active in any way. It seems to speed up the brain and make it race with ideas, making it the perfect choice for artists looking to get their creative juices flowing.
After medicating with the NYC Diesel, I would expect it to be a solid choice for patients in need of some serious stress relief. This strain can be stoney – it may be best reserved for weekends or vacations when you don’t have much physical work to do.
