Common sense told me that the Purple Crack strain was most likely the result of crossing the ever-popularGreen Crack strain with some variation of Granddaddy Purple. However, I quickly learned that the Purple Crack strain is actually a cross of Green Crack and the Juicy Fruit strain (aka Fruity Juice).
Knowing this, I was excited to see how these two classic Sativa-dominant hybrids would come together. The racy effects traditionally associated with the Green Crack strain are precisely what I look for when medicating in the morning. Combining these effects with the sweet flavor of the Juicy Fruit strain created some significantly high expectations in my mind.
As is often the case when smoking or vaporizing cannabis, the effects of the Purple Crack strain started to present themselves almost instantly.
I did experience a slight energy boost, but it was much more mellow than the fast-paced experience that I’ve come to expect when medicating with the Green Crack strain. The effects were far more consistent with my expectations of the Juicy Fruit strain, which is often more of a cerebral experience that helps spark my imagination.
Overall, I would say the Purple Crack strain is good option for patients looking to relieve stress and depressionduring the day. It may also be beneficial for patients who suffer from PTSD, OCD, neuropathic pain, social anxiety and more.
Purple Crack strain on my latest trip to SFVDM in Van Nuys, CA. This was my first time seeing this strain and I was immediately intrigued upon hearing its name.
The Purple Crack strain is a Sativa-dominant hybrid that is becoming increasingly prevalent in California. It stems from two classic strains that are each often praised for their floral characteristics and uplifting effects
Its budding notoriety in the UK caused Cheese clones to be passed around an extensive network of growers all throughout the 90’s. Cheese was a clone-only strain for some time, but many phenotypes of Cheese have surfaced since. It is believed by some that the original UK/Exodus phenotype is still floating around in the hands of the most senior of growers. It would be something special to get our hands on a bag of that medicine.
The taste is akin to the smell; it’s fruity with hints of berries, cheese, and undertones of skunk. Upon exhale, the flavors of skunk and cheese coat your mouth, and lingers between hits. This is when the cheese flavor is most noticeable. The smoke is potent, with a ‘stoned’ effect immediately settling in behind the eyes all the way down to our legs.
It’s 50% Indica and 50% Sativa lineage make the UK Cheese strain a perfect blend of body and mind. After two small bowls we experienced a severe case of ‘couch-lock’ accompanied by an uplifting, euphoric effect. We found it easy to focus and get work done after smoking UK Cheese. Nonetheless, you have no desire to move once you get settled in your chair.
UK Cheese is an ideal strain for patients seeking daytime pain, stress, and anxiety relief without the fear of crashing. It could also serve as an anti-depressant, as it puts you in high spirits after just one draw from the bong (no pun intended). UK Cheese remains one of our favorite Hybrid strains to medicate with during the day.
Being in California, I’ve had the opportunity to to enjoy both of these strains on plenty of occasions. They are definitely two of my favorites, albeit for different reasons. I’ve come to expect an energetic, racy experience with the Green Crack strain, and a mild, euphoric effect from Jack Herer.
Being so familiar with the Cracker Jack strain’s parents, I was excited to see how well their characteristics would mesh together. Interestingly enough, it was exactly what I would expect.
The aroma of the Cracker Jack strain was nearly the same floral scent that I’ve come to expect from the best batches of Green Crack. However, the Jack Herer influence made itself known as soon I could taste the vapor
As for its effects, the Cracker Jack strain gave me a slight surge of energy that great in the morning. However, it was not nearly as racy as the Green Crack strain.
In fact, the Jack Herer seemed to help counter this effect; so much so that I find the Cracker Jack strain to be helpful when I’m in need of soothing anxiety relief.
Patients who prefer a noticeable body melt when they medicate would be unlikely to declare the Cracker Jack strain as their first choice. However, it could be ideal for those who gravitate towards strains with a more uplifting head high. It may be most beneficial those who suffer from depression, schizophrenia, OCD, or anxiety.

High Yield, Fast Finish… Jack Herer is the ultimate performer, a dashing mix of heritage and knowledge. The result? A big harvest sativa that became an instant classic when it was introduced.
We took our time to develop this new school strain. The quest was to breed a plant that combined the greatest characteristics of the greatest plants. It took time – years – to get the strain just the way we wanted it, but the result was worth it. A femme fatale that packs a punch.
The strong sativa genetics of this plant mean that it can climb and those side branches will reach for the space to support its bounty of long and well formed buds. Indoor growers with limited space may look to pruning and bending methods to control the growth; more information is available from our Jacky White grow report. A prinicpal characteristic that appeals to those with indoor set ups is Jacky White’s reputation for stability, meaning consistency with results.
medicinla marijuana is the best friend of the outdoor gardener, hardy and low maintenance. Give it some space and moderate sunshine and it will reward you with a plant that strikes a fine pose, making it a favorite with sativa aficionados in southern regions of the world.
Connoisseurs in northern climes are in luck too, because this plant also thrives in more moderate climates. It may not give you the optimum yields but the skinny gene makes Jacky White mold resistant and its natural hardiness means you’ll be smoking by Halloween. The reward is tasty too – a sunshine buzz to smooth your way into that northern winter.
An immediate hit when it first came out, this plant’s reputation still burns strong. That’s because: for a fast growing, high yielding plant, the effects are just so damn good… An overwhelming experience served on a layer of citrus ‘haze’.
Smoke this and you will have a smile for the rest of the day. It is the creative’s choice with rushes of energy and inspiration making it perfect for heightened focus.
Moonrock is easily one of the most powerful cannabis products on the planet. They have taken an average cannabis bud and kicked it into high gear with the hash oil and kief.
This process leads the product to carry a 51.2% THC rating. In small doses, this is effective in pain reduction, stimulating appetite and nausea reduction. The product also boasts a .15% CBD rating which can combat pain, anxiety and other medical conditions.
For the best taste and smoke, it is recommended by the girls at Kush N Wax to use a hash bowl or pipe, along with not breaking down the bud with a grinder as you will lose most of the kief in that process.

Additional Strain Info
The Sour Diesel is a good yielding, stretchy strain that produces light green, frosty, sour flowers that have a pinkish color when finishing. The Sour Diesel is best if you let it go the full 10 weeks and the taste lingers in your mouth well after the exhale. It is recommended to pinch and bend the tops as she grows because of the stretch, this will also improve yields. If height is an issue, you can still take advantage of this strains stretch in the first 3 weeks by putting your rooted clones directly into flower for a 3-4 foot finish or 1-1.3 meter finish. The Sour D. is great for the beginner or the experienced grower because she is not too nutrient sensitive and can be worked to perfection! A favorite among favorite and well documented you can now add Sour Diesel to your garden and see what all the fuss is about. 2nd Hash HT Cannabis Cup 2010
Candyland strain on my recent trip to SFVDM in Van Nuys, CA. After being on the prowl for a good batch of this strain for months, I couldn’t be more excited to see it on the shelf.
Ken Estes has a history of creating award winning hybrids, and the Candyland strain is his latest creation. It stems from two Grand Daddy Purp Collective classics – Bay Platinum Cookies and Ken’s Grand Daddy Purple (GDP).
As far as genetics are concerned, the Bay Platinum Cookies strain is a combination of the Bay 11 strain (an unknown Sativa) and a Platinum Cookies phenotype from the Bay Area. Combine this with the Ken’s GDP strain’s genetic lineage (Big Bud X Purple Urkle) and you have quite the cocktail.
Overall, I would expect the Candyland strain to be great option for stress and anxiety relief. It may also be beneficial for patients who suffer from PTSD, OCD, neuropathic pain, depression, and more.
Afghan Hawaiian is a sativa dominant hybrid (70% indica/30% sativa) strain created as a potent cross between the hugely popular UK Cheese X Lavender strains. This dank bud boasts a moderately high THC level ranging from 18-22% on average and a myriad of both indica and sativa effects. Users describe the high as having an immediately uplifting onset that leaves you aroused, creative, and slightly dizzy. You’ll feel happy and euphoric before falling into a state of deep relaxation without loss of functionality. Due to these potent effects, Afghan Hawaiian is said to be an ideal strain for treating patients suffering from conditions such as neurological disorders and spasticity as well as muscle spasms and chronic pain. Afghan Hawaiian buds have small dense round popcorn-shaped neon green nugs with light gold undertones and translucent amber hairs.
Purple Kush Feminized seeds where engineered in California in the late nineties as a crossing between Purple Afghan and Hindu Kush. Purple Kush is a 100% indica strain which results in a short and dense marijuana plant with compact but heavy buds. The beautiful purple leaves full of resin makes is a wonderful marijuana plant to grow. A good strain to grow outdoor in, especially in Mediterranean climates.
Purple Kush Feminized smell a bit dank, just like other Kush strains do. While smoking Purple Kush you will get into a state of total relaxation, great for people with sleep deprivation to get a good night rest.
With so many different types of haze put together it is no wonder why Chocolope is known to predominantly affect the head with a tranquil mind-warp. It is a stable Sativa master-piece that is easy to grow, produces well, and hits noticeably smooth.
It’s important to note that this strain doesn’t actually have that strong of a chocolate stench. It is much more of a sweet grapefruit aroma with only slight undertones of chocolate.
This makes sense, considering that the Chocolate Thai strain doesn’t have the most obvious chocolate aroma either.
It seemed to calm the nerves instantly, while providing a decent amount of uplifting energy. It quickly became one of our favorite Sativa strains to medicate with before a long day of work. It tends to make the day more enjoyable.
The Chocolope strain may benefit those suffering from depression, chronic stress, fatigue and more.
A lovely strain that derives from Shishkaberry X God bud.
It has a strong pungent aroma of sweetness with earthy undertones.
Beautiful round buds that are quite dense and covered in THC trichomes.
Ideal for patients with Chronic pain, Depression or Insomnia.
It’s a shame this medical marijuana strain isn’t as ubiquitous as it once was but it makes sense why it growers choose strains that perform better and grow faster. Panama Red seems to be one of those strains that if you want to get your hands on a bunch of it, you need to find some good seeds, take your time, and grow it yourself.
Panama Red strain is an old school pure Sativa from the Panama region that was extremely popular between 1960 to the early 90’s. Since then, the genetics have died off slowly as most growers have switched to other Sativa strains that have faster grow cycles (to have more profitable grows). Panama Red’s flowering time is roughly 11-13 weeks which is longer than the most other popular Sativa strains.
