The Alaskan Thunder (ATF for short) strain originates from the Matanuska Valley in Alaska and its Sativa genetics are somewhat of a mystery. Being a Sativa, this strain really only affects your head and is a popular choice of medication for medical marijuana patients suffering from chronic migraines, PTSD, sleep disorders, and more.
The Alaskan Thunder Fuck strain is known for its ability to create a soaring, cerebral head-high. It can definitely take your mind for a ride, so you may want to start with low quantities (1-2 puffs), if you are a first-time patient who is afraid of experiencing any sort of paranoia.
Alaskan Thunder Fuck should be considered a morning or day-time Sativa due to its peaceful, uplifting nature. This strain always makes me feel more talkative than normal, and even more intellectual at times, due to its deep, thought-inducing high.
Seeing as both of its parents are on the heavier end of the spectrum, I decided to wait until the evening before reviewng the White OG strain. I soon came to realize that this was a pretty smart decision on my part.
As far as its aroma/taste is concerned, this batch of the White OG strain was a near-perfect mix between its parent strains. Theterpene profile was reminiscent of a piney OG Kush with musty undertones (presumably from the White Widow influence).
I began to feel my anxiety taper off after just a few minutes of medicating with this strain. I found this to be quite useful in the middle of the day, although I probably wouldn’t consider it to be the best choice for morning medicating – larger doses seemed to bring about a couchlock effect that made it a battle to get up from my seat at times.
Overall, I would say that the White OG strain is a great option for stress and pain relief later in the day. It may also be beneficial for patients who suffer from PTSD, OCD, lupus-related pain, depression, and more.
This bud steals its appearance from its Big Bud and Skunk parents, with oversized lumpy popcorn-shaped nugs that have a deep purple color to them and a super thick and frosty coating of trichomes and sticky sweet resin. Like the name suggests, Big Skunk Korean has a heavy powerful pungent skunky aroma with hints of hashy earth. The taste is a bit lighter,…
Afghan Hawaiian is a sativa dominant hybrid (70% indica/30% sativa) strain created as a potent cross between the hugely popular UK Cheese X Lavender strains. This dank bud boasts a moderately high THC level ranging from 18-22% on average and a myriad of both indica and sativa effects. Users describe the high as having an immediately uplifting onset that leaves you aroused, creative, and slightly dizzy. You’ll feel happy and euphoric before falling into a state of deep relaxation without loss of functionality. Due to these potent effects, Afghan Hawaiian is said to be an ideal strain for treating patients suffering from conditions such as neurological disorders and spasticity as well as muscle spasms and chronic pain. Afghan Hawaiian buds have small dense round popcorn-shaped neon green nugs with light gold undertones and translucent amber hairs.
Look – This strain looked way more like Sour Diesel than Strawberry Cough. Darker green spear tip shaped buds with peach colored pistils, the trichome coverage gives it a grey looking color under certain lighting. This bud isn’t too compact, not really airy though.
Smell – I didn’t really notice a Strawberry smell, this particular phenotype leans heavily towards Sour Diesel and smells just like diesel fuel or a gas station with earthy kush undertones.
Taste – Same as the smell, very fuely with a great fuel/kushy earth aftertaste. This smoke is nice and thick on the inhale/exhale and the Strawberry Cough comes through with nice expansion in the lungs.
Effects – Strawberry Diesel is a pretty heady marijuana and it also gives a nice body relaxation. Smoke a little of it during the day to receive a lighter head effect, then smoke more at night to help you sleep. I also noticed an onset of munchies. This is a very good all around marijuana strain.
Medical Uses – Anxiety, depression, stress, muscle relaxation, pain relief, appetite, sleep aid
A lovely strain that derives from Shishkaberry X God bud.
It has a strong pungent aroma of sweetness with earthy undertones.
Beautiful round buds that are quite dense and covered in THC trichomes.
Ideal for patients with Chronic pain, Depression or Insomnia.
Asteroid OG strain on my recent trip to SFVDM in Van Nuys, CA. I had seen batches of this strain in the past, but I never ventured to give it a try, mostly because nobody was able to give me a definitive answer on the genetics.
The effects of medicating with this strain started to set in almost instantly – first taking over my mind, and then making the limbs throughout my body heavy.
I was completely relaxed after medicating with the Asteroid OG strain, but I had to deal with some serious couchlock. So, it may be best reserved for those late night evening sessions when you don’t have much else to do.
Asteroid OG strain particularly useful when I was in need of some stress and anxiety relief. I expect that it would also be useful for those suffering from depression, PTSD or OCD.

Additional Strain Info
The cream of the crops and perhaps the most exquisite ganja you will ever encounter; this strain ranks as the most awarded variety in the history of harvest festivals. Nine awards and counting would be the pinnacle of recognition for any strain, yet Jack Herer manages to go a step further and bears the distinction of being distributed under prescription by Dutch pharmacies as a recognized variety of medicinal-grade cannabis.
Sensi’s champagne of strains is named in honour of Jack Herer, author of The Emperor Wears No Clothes. Through tireless activism and his landmark book, Jack Herer can take most of the credit for reminding the world that cannabis in all its forms has always been one of humankind’s most valuable resources, and that we can literally save the planet with hemp!
The sublime blend of tropical Sativa high and monstrous Indica resin production captured in Jack Herer must be seen and sampled to be believed. At their peak, buds are so thickly smothered with clear trichomes that they appear sugar-frosted or sparkling with dew-drops. This crystal-coating extends to spear-leaves, fan leaves and even to Jack’s stems and stalks.
Plants from seed show favourable variation, due to Jack Herer’s complex background and delicate balance right at the cusp of Sativa and Indica. Enhanced features from both sides of the family are strongly evident and are expressed in different combinations, allowing growers to select mother plants tailored to their circumstances and tastes.
Three of Jack’s four main phenotypes are heavily Sativa-influenced while the fourth has a growth pattern leaning towards Indica 0 fast-flowering and relatively compact with a dense, expansive, rounded bud structure that’s suited to cash-cropping. Jack’s Sativa phenotypes can also produce a good per-meter or per-plant yield when cultivated skilfully, though it is rare for these crops to be sold commercially. Most growers who have watched their succulent, super-sized calyxes swell and mature will be hesitant to sell such buds, and the best Jack Herer is often passed around a select circle of friends – an example of one of those things that money just can’t buy.
The trait common to all Jack Herer phenotypes is a dazzling double-edged potency – a stratospheric cerebral high underpinned by a breathtaking body-buzz with seismic power. Smokers should be prepared to feel the earth shake beneath their feet – which can be a very pleasant feeling when your head is firmly in the clouds.
Common sense told me that the Purple Crack strain was most likely the result of crossing the ever-popularGreen Crack strain with some variation of Granddaddy Purple. However, I quickly learned that the Purple Crack strain is actually a cross of Green Crack and the Juicy Fruit strain (aka Fruity Juice).
Knowing this, I was excited to see how these two classic Sativa-dominant hybrids would come together. The racy effects traditionally associated with the Green Crack strain are precisely what I look for when medicating in the morning. Combining these effects with the sweet flavor of the Juicy Fruit strain created some significantly high expectations in my mind.
As is often the case when smoking or vaporizing cannabis, the effects of the Purple Crack strain started to present themselves almost instantly.
I did experience a slight energy boost, but it was much more mellow than the fast-paced experience that I’ve come to expect when medicating with the Green Crack strain. The effects were far more consistent with my expectations of the Juicy Fruit strain, which is often more of a cerebral experience that helps spark my imagination.
Overall, I would say the Purple Crack strain is good option for patients looking to relieve stress and depressionduring the day. It may also be beneficial for patients who suffer from PTSD, OCD, neuropathic pain, social anxiety and more.
on’t let the name fool you: this is pure cannabis. Few strains compare to Green Crack’s sharp energy and focus as it induces an invigorating mental buzz that keeps you going throughout the day. With a tangy, fruity flavor redolent of mango, Green Crack is the perfect daytime medication for patients treating fatigue, stress, and depression.
Green Crack has branched into two genetic lineages, the most common of which is its sativa line descended from Skunk #1. The 75% indica variety of Green Crack is said to have come from an Afghani strain, and is marked by a tighter bud structure. Because its name perpetuates a negative image of cannabis, some people have taken to calling this strain Cush (with a ‘C’) or Green Cush instead
Purple Kush Feminized seeds where engineered in California in the late nineties as a crossing between Purple Afghan and Hindu Kush. Purple Kush is a 100% indica strain which results in a short and dense marijuana plant with compact but heavy buds. The beautiful purple leaves full of resin makes is a wonderful marijuana plant to grow. A good strain to grow outdoor in, especially in Mediterranean climates.
Purple Kush Feminized smell a bit dank, just like other Kush strains do. While smoking Purple Kush you will get into a state of total relaxation, great for people with sleep deprivation to get a good night rest.
The AK47 strain is a classic Sativa-dominant hybrid created by mixing Colombian (Sativa), Mexican (Sativa), Thailand (Sativa), and Afghanistan (Indica). The Banana Kush strain was the result of combining the OG Kush,Skunk #1, and Haze strains.
With this genetic lineage, I assumed that the AK Banana stain would be closer to the Sativa end of the spectrum. However, the effects that I experienced made me believe that it is nearly a 50/50 hybrid.
However, this time around seemed to stand out even more with their offering of Holy Grail Kush and the AK Banana strains.
Like the name would suggest, this batch of AK Banana had a subtle banana aroma that filled the room once the flowers were broken up. I was happy to see that this banana influence translated into taste exceedingly well.
The effects I experienced with this batch of the AK Banana strain were deceptively heavy. It was a sort of couch-lock I’ve never really encountered in the past. My mind wasn’t at all tired or cloudy, but my body did not want to move…at all.
I found the AK Banana strain to be a great option when in need of relief from chronic stress and anxiety. It may also benefit those who suffer from depression, schizophrenia, muscle spasms, migraines, and more.
